How you can make a bigger difference: The Jewish Board’s Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high-quality, evidence-based services. Our staff use a culturally affirming, person-centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning. The Social Worker will provide culturally competent and sensitive clinical care in an OMH licensed outpatient PROS Program. Responsibilities include: Participate in the continuing interdisciplinary evaluation of individual clients. Individualize and understand the needs of the client and the client’s family. Identify appropriate treatment or service providers and facilitate client referrals. Perform individual or group psychotherapy. Establish client goals and assess success in meeting those goals. May run specialized groups. Provide all necessary notes, progress notes, and written assessments. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program AND a New York State License or limited permit in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), or social work (LMSW) required.
