The Robotics/Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing robotic and automated manufacturing systems to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role will focus on integrating robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies into existing processes while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in automation, process optimization, and robotics programming to drive continuous improvement. Essential Job Functions (Required Duties and Responsibilities)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Develops and implements robotic automation solutions for manufacturing processes, including programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing robotic systems. Designs and maintains 3D CAD models of robotic systems, automated tooling, and production equipment following safety protocols and operational procedures. Collaborates with engineering and production teams to integrate new automation technologies and improve manufacturing processes. Conducts feasibility studies and risk analyses for automation projects, ensuring optimal system performance and minimal downtime. Leads process improvements by applying automation techniques such as zero-failure analysis, predictive maintenance, and AI-driven optimizations. Supports supervisors and technicians with technical expertise in robotics programming, CNC integration, and automation troubleshooting. Creates and maintains standardized operating instructions and automation process documentation, including data analysis reports for decision-making. Performs root cause analysis for automation-related issues and recommends solutions to improve reliability and efficiency. Ensures compliance with industry standards and safety regulations related to robotic and automated systems. Performs other duties as requested or assigned. Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following requirements: BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or related field). 3+ years of experience in robotics engineering, automation, or process optimization. Proficiency in robotics programming (e.g., ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, or Universal Robots). Experience with 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software). Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar). Understanding of industrial automation systems, CNC machines, and sensor integration. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems. Experience in data analysis tools (Power BI, Excel, Python, or similar). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics. Self-motivated, adaptable to change, and an excellent work ethic. Well-organized with strong attention to detail. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must work well in a team environment.
