We are seeking a qualified anesthesiologist to join our team at Virginia Mason Medical Center in downtown Seattle. This full-time position involves providing anesthesiology services for complex cardiovascular cases, including open heart surgeries, structural heart procedures, and participation in educational activities. Responsibilities
Perform anesthesia for approximately 400 open heart surgeries annually, including complex procedures such as aortic arch surgery, valve replacements, and pulmonary thromboendarterectomy. Manage over 450 structural heart cases per year, including MitraClips, TAVRs, and high-risk PCI with Impella support. Participate in a robust mechanical circulatory support program, including ECMO procedures. Engage in educational activities with residents and fellows, and attend national conferences. Contribute to structural heart trials and research initiatives. Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible by the ABA in Anesthesiology. Ability to obtain a medical license in Washington State. Certification in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography. Fellowship trained in Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology. Compensation and Benefits
