Virginia Mason Medical Center, recognized among the Best Hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking Registered Nurses to join Bailey-Boushay House, a nationally recognized model for HIV care. Established in 1992, Bailey-Boushay House was America's first skilled nursing facility specifically designed for people living with AIDS. Virginia Mason has operated the facility since its inception, ensuring high-quality care for its patients. As a Registered Nurse at Bailey-Boushay House, you will: Specialize in serving patients with and without AIDS who require end-of-life care, including those with ALS, Huntington's disease, or other illnesses limiting life expectancy to less than three months. Work with both outpatient programs serving 320 individuals and a 35-bed inpatient program. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, social workers, nursing assistants, and dietary staff. Provide around-the-clock nursing care focused on the needs of the patient and their loved ones. Respect and honor patients' social and cultural diversity, actively engaging with families to meet their needs. Support patients facing end-of-life medically, emotionally, and spiritually in an environment emphasizing quality of life. Treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
