Our Clinical Education Team is a dynamic and close-knit group of 7 passionate Clinical Educators dedicated to enhancing the skills and knowledge of RNs and NAs in Central Florida. We foster a collaborative environment where ideas are shared, and growth is encouraged.
At our weekly team meetings every Monday from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Leesburg Education Building, we come together to discuss innovative strategies and best practices. But it's not all work—our team loves to bond through fun activities, including picnics, potlucks, and monthly after-work get-togethers that strengthen our camaraderie.

Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Corporate Director of Clinical Education, the Division Emergency Department Clinical Educator serves as a mentor, instructor, and role model for clinical staff. The Division Emergency Department Clinical Educator provides new hire onboarding education, new team member orientation guidance and evaluation, preceptor education and support, and clinically relevant education for patient care staff, in the classroom, simulation lab, and in clinical settings. The educator must have a thorough understanding of Emergency nursing, and recent and relevant clinical experience in the ED, as well as a demonstrated ability to effectively impart knowledge to others. Participation in American Heart Association certification classes as an instructor is required. Ability to evaluate clinician skills and orientee progress, and ability to provide guidance which assists patient care givers to progress in their job performance is required. The Division Emergency Department Clinical Educator will participate on committees and will contribute to the goals and vision of UFHCF. The educator will work collaboratively with the education team and clinical leaders to plan, implement, and deliver educational programs that support evidence based practice, and UFHCF policies and procedures. The Division Emergency Department Clinical Educator will need to travel between facilities frequently to promote system wide education at each Emergency Department. This position demands independence in the role to create and manage projects, as well as adherence to department leadership requisites.
This position will cover Spanish Plaines Hospital ED primarily and Brownwood FSED. This position will work Monday - Friday 8 am-5pm and is eligible for a sign-on bonus!
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited nursing school Required: Master’s Degree required (MSN, or M.Ed.) If enrolled in MSN or M.Ed. program, must complete degree within one year of start date
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Florida Registered Nurse License American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 3 months of start date American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required within 1 month of start date BLS, ACLS, PALS Instructor certification required within 6 months of start date Nationally Recognized Certification in Emergency Nursing, CEN preferred
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Required: Minimum of 3 years in Emergency Department nursing Required: Must have worked in an ED RN role within last 2 years
