General Summary of Position
MedStar Health is seeking an OT (Occupational Therapy) Homecare Clinician PV (Per Visit) to join our team. Analyze and document patients' and families' responses to interventions, evaluate progress, and revise care plans accordingly. Identify and modify factors impeding progress, recommend updates to care plans, and establish teaching plans based on patient needs and resources. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, and establish visit schedules. Implement leadership skills as a Case Manager, executing treatment plans and modifying them as needed. Conduct assessments such as interviews, observations, and specialized tests using appropriate tools, ensuring sensory and sight functions are adequate or supplemented with prosthetics. Document care plans and interventions for routine to complex cases, utilizing agency and community resources, and ensuring timely record submissions. Participate in case conferences, community outreach, and ongoing educational activities to promote professional growth. Perform assessments to determine habilitation/rehabilitation needs, recommend adaptive equipment or modifications, and plan for discharge and community resource referrals. Perform procedures including therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and modality applications. Qualifications
Graduation from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy program recognized by the Board of OT. 1-2 years of clinical experience. Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in DC, Maryland, Virginia, or applicable locations. CPR certification. Valid state driver’s license with a dependable vehicle. Additional Information
This position offers a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
