Psychologist (Glendale Adult Outpatient)

This is a hybrid position with two days on-site and three days remote. You have the option to elect into a 9/80 flex work schedule. The pay range for this role is between $96,448 - $110,950 annually. $7,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates. About Didi Hirsch

As a Psychologist (internally referred to as a Lead Psychologist) at Didi Hirsch, you will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for clients with a history of mental illness to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Approximately 50% of your role involves performing and supervising assessments, with the remaining time dedicated to providing direct therapy services and consultation. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, intake assessments, and individual, group, and family therapy for adults with mental health challenges. You will also offer professional consultation to staff regarding psychological assessments and diagnoses. Primary Duties

Supervise psychology interns, practicum students, and possibly staff on psychological testing and therapy. Assist in APA internship program through prospective intern interviews and application reviews. Provide professional consultation to multidisciplinary staff on complex differential diagnostic conditions, test results, cognitive and learning delays, and outcome measures. Train clinical staff on assessment instruments such as depression and anxiety inventories, and mental status examinations. Achieve proficiency in two or more evidence-based practices and apply them in therapy with seriously mentally ill clients. Collaborate with referring clinicians regarding psychological assessment referrals. Consult on assessments conducted by outside institutions or individuals. Administer psychological tests including clinical interviews, intelligence tests, cognitive screens, and neuropsychological tests. Focus assessments on referral questions using appropriate instruments. Administer, score, interpret tests considering client characteristics and test validity. Prepare written reports tailored to the client, including strengths and pragmatic recommendations. Provide feedback to clinicians and clients/families, tailored to their understanding level. Make recommendations for assessment tools and maintain their security. Document client services ensuring compliance with policies and standards. Participate in on-duty therapist coverage and 24-hour on-call coverage. Develop and maintain professional assessment skills through ongoing training. Attend and participate in staff and community meetings as required. Position Requirements

Must be a California-licensed psychologist; 2+ years post-licensure preferred. Strong experience in psychological assessment, including test selection, administration, interpretation, and report writing. Knowledge of psychiatric syndromes, personality disorders, cognitive dysfunctions, and malingering. Minimum of 2+ years working with adults with mental illness in a social service/mental health setting. Willing to travel between agency sites and work in various settings. Experience supervising clinicians preferred. Knowledge of research, statistics, and relevant policies/regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health records. Ability to make effective decisions using analysis and judgment. Commitment to team objectives and agency philosophies. Adaptability to changing needs and acquiring new skills. Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Some evening work may be required. Our Vision
