General Atomics Aeronautical Systems . Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. Under general supervision, this position researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide end-user, system-level, and data management software applications. Responsible for ensuring software compliance standards, evaluating integration with the overall computing environment, and handling documentation, testing, maintenance, and updates. Communicates with domain experts, users, and management throughout the software development lifecycle. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Determine user requirements and specifications; plan for software development within the organizational scope, including end-user, system level, and data management applications. Formulate detailed implementation plans, including language, platform, and resource requirements. Implement designs through coding, testing, and documentation. Deploy applications enterprise-wide, ensuring cross-platform compliance and resource availability. Maintain code through debugging and updates to adapt to evolving environments. Assist in planning future applications based on emerging computer technologies. Communicate effectively with the software team, users, management, and the wider community. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Perform other duties as assigned. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and safety procedures. Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or related discipline; equivalent experience may substitute. Basic understanding of software development concepts and principles; ability to follow programming and analysis concepts. Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming. Knowledge of C or C++, with working understanding of Java or Python. Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts in an evolving environment. Effective communication, computer, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Willingness to work extended hours as needed. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance. Job Type: Full-Time Hourly Salary range: $71,950 - $109,885 Seniority level
