We are seeking an individual to join our growing planning team as a Senior Transit Planner or Project Manager to lead unique and fulfilling transit and multimodal transportation planning efforts across the mountain west. Our services include projects for transit agencies, state DOTs, MPOs, and cities in Utah and the intermountain west. Our planning team is based in Utah, and we aim to expand our reach in other regions. Responsibilities, Expectations, and Duties: Manage and lead transit and transportation planning projects, including transit alignment, mode analyses, PEL or NEPA planning, corridor plans, and active transportation plans. Coordinate on rural, tribal, and small urban transportation and transit system plans. Research and apply innovative planning practices related to transit and transportation. Analyze transportation, land use, equity, transit, and economic data to develop metrics, success measures, and recommendations. Communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences and prepare technical deliverables. Support public engagement efforts through virtual and in-person outreach. Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in urban planning or a related field (required); master's preferred. 8+ years of relevant experience (preferred). Experience with client management and business development. Experience working with public transit and agencies. Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work independently or in teams. Skills in research, GIS, data analysis, visualization, and technical writing. Ability to create visuals for planning documents and presentations. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Effective collaboration with stakeholders, officials, and teams. Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
