SUMMARY
Application Architects have primary responsibility for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical applications. They are responsible for obtaining and maintain in-depth knowledge of the software functionality, and acquiring knowledge of the clinical/business workflows to be implemented on the system. Jointly with each other and with the department representatives, they design a future-state workflow and build the system to support the new workflow. They work with each other in workgroups, and across interdisciplinary workgroups, to accomplish these goals as a team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field or equivalent education, training and/or experience
3-5 years experience providing analytical support of administrative and clinical applications in a large health system
3-5 years experience implementing advanced clinical applications that cross multiple disciplines
Ability to deal with a number of tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail, with advanced knowledge of database design, system integration, and operational process flow
Communicate effectively with technical team as well as managers and end users - both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
Strong organizational skills
Possesses an understanding of EMR system capabilities to address process requirements
