The San Francisco office of SmithGroup is seeking a Project Architect to join our team. Responsibilities:

Lead a team of architects to complete complex technical documents for projects such as senior living, mixed-use, and multi-family developments. Prepare, coordinate, and finalize construction document packages. Manage day-to-day construction administration activities, including coordination with contractors, owners, and consultants to ensure project progress. Mentor and oversee junior staff work performance. Establish and execute project work plans and staffing requirements. Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients. Participate in recruiting and performance management of staff. Meet with owners and user groups to determine program and planning requirements. Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience. Architectural Registration is required. LEED AP certification preferred. Knowledge of engineering systems and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary environments. Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships. Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is desired. Experience leading architectural teams and understanding of code implementation, especially for residential and healthcare facilities. Only candidates who meet these requirements will be considered.
