Software Engineer II
with an active
TS/SCI w/ POLY
clearance to join our team in
Ft. Meade, MD .
What You'll Get To Do:
Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements, including analytics, algorithms, data manipulation, real-time systems, and management information systems.
Work individually or as part of a team. Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
Resolve software problem reports.
Utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies.
Contribute to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis from system to component level.
Primary Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Poly
Skills You'll Bring:
Analyze user requirements to derive design and performance requirements.
Debug existing software and correct defects.
Recommend improvements for documentation and development standards.
Design and code new software or modify existing software.
Integrate software into new or modified systems.
Develop data queries for databases.
Apply knowledge of ITOM, ITSM, HRSD, CSM, and Service Portal.
Write or review software and system documentation.
Serve as team lead as appropriate.
Design or implement complex database interfaces/queries.
Develop algorithms to meet system standards.
Assist in developing and executing test procedures.
Analyze system performance and develop solutions.
Modify software to correct errors or improve performance.
Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific and mathematical models.
Implement complex algorithms with strict timing and resource constraints.
Oversee software development teams and ensure quality standards.
Coordinate with system and hardware engineers to derive requirements.
Monitor system installation and operation to ensure specifications are met.
Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4 years of additional SWE experience.
Experience with core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
4 years of IT application systems experience.
Experience with ServiceNow applications, scripting, and integrations using REST and SOAP.
2 years of ServiceNow platform development experience.
ServiceNow System Administrator or Application Developer certification required.
Pay Range: $165,000 to $180,000, depending on location and experience. Compensation considers role responsibilities, education, experience, and competencies.
