ABOUT THE TEAM
The
Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering and Integration Team
is responsible for designing and integrating advanced hardware for
Group 5
air vehicles and missile platforms . Mechanical Integration Engineers oversee the
full development lifecycle , from concept to flight testing, ensuring high-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems capable of operating in complex, contested environments. WHAT YOULL DO
Be a critical member of the team for selecting and integrating aircraft engines, engine components, and fuel systems on unmanned air vehicles. Design, fabricate, and test prototype components and control systems. Plan, instrument, and execute tests of aircraft propulsion systems. Coordinate with engine vendors, develop strategic partnerships, and manage development projects. Support hardware demonstrations with customers as needed. Support CAD design for internal aerodynamic loft, surfaces, and structures. Travel to test sites as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of propulsion engineering experience on air vehicles (manned or unmanned). Professional experience with jet engines in the 1,000-20,000 lbf thrust class. Knowledge of jet engine fundamentals. Experience with engine cycle decks. Experience testing engines or powertrain components. Proficiency in mechanical parts design and surface lofting (CAD). Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.). BSc or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with NX/Teamcenter. Hands-on jet engine testing experience, including instrumentation and data processing. Knowledge of Engine Management Systems (EMS), OEM, or motorsport experience. Experience procuring parts and working in a machine shop with safety protocols. Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
