Job Summary
Lead and manage a team of penetration testers to execute manual penetration testing of applications and infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, mentor team members, and improve testing capabilities. Major Responsibilities
Partner with infrastructure and application teams to reduce vulnerabilities Support the modernization of MUFG’s software development lifecycle and build pipelines Expand penetration testing services across MUFG regions Develop internal training programs for technical growth Perform penetration testing and vulnerability research on complex software and hardware Create or modify tools to automate vulnerability detection Engage with stakeholders to ensure timely issue mitigation Research new attack techniques and industry trends Provide technical guidance and training to team members Contribute to continuous improvement of the penetration testing program Support integration with MUFG’s Vulnerability Response workflows Introduce efficiencies and automation opportunities Ensure compliance with regulations and MUFG standards Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience Expertise in at least two technology areas such as network infrastructure, security products, Active Directory, operating systems, databases, or cloud technologies Deep understanding of penetration testing methodologies and security frameworks Proficiency in programming languages like Java, C#, C++, Assembly Knowledge in exploitation development, reverse engineering 5+ years in penetration testing with tools like Burp Suite, Metasploit, Kali Linux, etc. 3+ years scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ruby Excellent communication and reporting skills The typical base salary ranges from $124K to $171K, depending on experience and location.
