With the recent acquisition of Infinera, we've united two industry leaders to create an optical networking powerhousecombining cutting-edge technology with proven leadership to redefine the future of connectivity. Responsibilities: Tool ownership and improvement related to tool uptime (MTBF/MTTR) and quality. Partner with other engineers and operations staff to maintain uptime and identify issues. Identify contributors to system stability and provide solutions to improve uptime or performance, especially for wet etch and plasma tools. Experience with wet etch process tools is required. Create operational procedures and mentor/train technicians. Manage tool installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs of wafer fabrication equipment. Develop troubleshooting guides for recurring issues. Review equipment check-sheets to meet ISO audit requirements. Ensure tool uptime in a 24x7 manufacturing environment, including occasional off-shift work. Establish inventory requirements based on manufacturing demand. Skills: understanding of statistical process control, proficiency in Microsoft Office, reading electrical schematics and blueprints. Implement procedural modifications and estimate requirements for equipment installs and deinstallations. Write preventive maintenance procedures and reports. Publish weekly progress reports. Perform job functions with minimal supervision. Hands-on experience with AMAT P5000 and other plasma tools. Knowledge of safety procedures and hazardous materials handling. Publish daily equipment updates during manufacturing meetings. Familiarity with wet processing tools, photoresist coater, developer tracks, and metrology is a plus. Adhere to safety and cleanroom procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
AA/DeVry degree or equivalent experience; MS or BS in related engineering fields preferred. At least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as an equipment engineer. Expertise in vacuum systems, RF, mechanical design, electrical troubleshooting, data collection, and programming. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Experience with plasma tools, especially AMAT P5000. Ability to justify upgrades in equipment contacting wafers.
