KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has teamed up with a Real Estate Development company on a search for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting development project accounting. This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP, real estate project accounting, and a collaborative mindset to partner with project managers and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for multiple entities and development projects Manage job cost tracking, construction draw requests, and capital expenditure reporting Prepare financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Maintain general ledger and ensure proper classification of transactions Track project budgets vs. actuals, identifying and explaining variances Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate financial updates Monitor intercompany transactions, distributions, and investor capital accounts Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Experience
