We are currently seeking a
Senior Electrical Estimator
to join our Electrical Construction team in
Seattle . In this role, you will lead estimating work with sales, engineering and operations teams. Additionally, some responsibilities include: Bid Strategies
Include value engineering cost savings in project estimates where appropriate. Review bid packages before submission. Prepare conceptual estimates and budgets when needed. Estimates
Review general and special conditions and other front-end documents to ensure cost estimates include the effect of those conditions on the project. Review subcontractor quotes for completeness. Maintain current and historical construction cost and bid result databases for reference. Review technical specifications and plans to fully understand scope of work and estimate requirements. Prepare scope letters and send them to customers and prospective bidders. Provide technical support to various disciplines. Project Estimates
Lead project estimating programs and scheduling. Develop project estimates based on conceptual and schematic descriptions for various disciplines and project types. Implement value engineering and constructability practices within estimates. Communication
Work with the Chief Estimator to identify and secure prospective business opportunities. Lead discussions and meetings with subcontractors, vendors, architects, clients, and other stakeholders. Develop comprehensive solutions including detailed narratives and budget spreadsheets based on client and project requirements. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, construction management, or related field or equivalent experience. At least 8 years of estimating experience, including conceptual estimating. Proficiency in estimation responsibilities and tools, including Accubid (preferred), Trimble/Quickpen, and Quotesoft. Knowledge of building systems and project financials. PeopleFirst Benefits
