Platform Solutions We build and embed cloud-based, developer-centric financial products and services in our clients’ ecosystems to help them better serve their own clients and customers Partnership Cards, part of the platform solutions business, caters to the financial needs of millions of customers thru embedded solutions with our key clients and partners. Best in class platform and risk management organizations are the foundational pillars for this business. YOUR IMPACT As part of the central fraud team you will be responsible for the development of new analytical strategies, business processes and solutions to prevent consumers across multiple products like credit card, loans and deposits from being victimized by fraud and protecting the firm from financial losses due to fraud. You are the owner of fraud loss number on P&L. The role will involve working closely with Business, Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance and Data Science teams to develop solutions and improve the performance of the portfolios. As part of this team your responsibilities include: • Lead a team of Fraud Strategy Analysts and Associates • Develop and execute strategies to detect and prevent fraud • Optimize fraud strategy and processes to provide a best-in-class customer experience and drive business growth • Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring framework to stay on top of trend and generate insights to inform actions • Work with Decision Science team to develop Machine Leaning models for accurate fraud detection and develop model-centric strategy • Partner with Product, Risk Capabilities and Engineering teams to maximize the digital verification capabilities and upgrade our ecosystem with cutting-edge vendor solutions • Collaborate with Decision platform team to implement strategy in decision engine • Liaise with Operations teams to define effective and customer-friendly procedures for manual verifications and identify trends and opportunities for process improvements • Lead and drive regular fraud updates to senior leadership OUR IMPACT The risk management function as a key foundational pillar of the business strives to service our customers and clients thru principles of responsible finance. We excel in building platform capabilities, performing economic analytics to maximize risk reward trade-offs, developing best in class sophisticated models and strategies with advanced statistical techniques and creating business critical regulatory controls and governance processes while continuing to be part of progressive, responsible growth oriented organization. JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Use a data-driven approach to develop and design fraud solutions • Establish the appropriate analytical environment and reporting to ensure comprehensive fraud coverage • Work directly with the Customer Operations leadership team responsible for execution of the fraud strategy • Research and remain current on the latest industry fraud trends and recommend tools, services, and practices for improvement • Identify and develop process improvements/automation to maximize efficiency of fraud detection activities as required • Manage team members with training, development and establishing priorities • Work with Decision Platform team to implement changes to the Fraud Strategy BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field 6+ years of experience in fraud risk management with financial products or product owner/capability development roles Passionate about and strong track record of self-learning new programming languages and database solutions Working experiences with Splunk and Tableau, SQL and data science tools (Python, Spark preferred) Managed projects and worked with technology teams to implement solution Ability to work independently, but still be a strong team player Attention to details and excellent oral and written communication skills Build and maintain strong partnership with internal and external peers PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related field • 5+ years of experience in fraud risk management with consumer financial products • Experience with using data science tools (Python, Spark preferred) to solve business problems • Knowledge of fraud risk vendors and technology in consumer finance or digital services industry • Developed reporting and used data visualization to report on trends or analysis • Managed projects and worked with technology teams to implement solution • Ability to work independently, but still be a strong team player • Attention to details and excellent oral and written communication skills At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
