We are seeking a hands-on, inquisitive Test Engineer to join our team, specializing in mechanisms testing within an environmental test lab. This role requires experience with TVAC chambers, thermal cycling, and lab testing protocols. The ideal candidate is technically curious, enjoys troubleshooting, and is eager to engage with automated test scripts and lab diagnostics.
Responsibilities
Conduct tests on sub-assemblies and full systems in TVAC chambers, thermal cycling setups, and other test environments within an environmental test lab.
Author, review, and troubleshoot automated test scripts using LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and programming languages such as Python, C++, and C#.
Collaborate with the software development team to understand and utilize test automation code.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to test setups, such as temperature issues in TVAC chambers.
Analyze test scripts to identify bottlenecks or failure points, recommend fixes, and assist in process optimization.
Troubleshoot lab hardware, networking issues, and system configurations.
Utilize diagnostic tools to support testing and improve efficiency.
Engage in hands-on work in the lab, applying lab protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
Essential Skills
Experience in an environmental test lab with hands-on test execution.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and C# for scripting and automation.
Knowledge of LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and automation tools.
Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing test failures and hardware/software issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in hardware assembly, network setup, or troubleshooting (e.g., building gaming PCs, setting up home networks).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Passion for learning new technologies and test methodologies.
Work Schedule Sunday - Wednesday OR Wednesday - Saturday, 6am - 4:30pm PST
Sunday - Wednesday OR Wednesday - Saturday, 5pm - 3:30am PST
Pay and Benefits The pay range is $60.00 - $71.45/hr. Eligibility for benefits depends on employment classification and duration. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, and paid time off.
Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Seattle, WA.
