Principal Software Engineer

National Security Sector's (NSS) Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) . Job Summary We seek a highly skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance complex software systems, including high-performance analytics, large-scale data processing, real-time applications, and business management systems. You will apply advanced methodologies, resolve technical challenges, and ensure software meets performance and functional standards. Primary Responsibilities Analyze user requirements to design, develop, and optimize software solutions Debug, enhance, and resolve issues in software applications to improve efficiency Develop and implement algorithms to optimize system performance and functionality Design and implement efficient database queries and repository solutions Develop and execute test procedures to validate software functionality and performance Enhance software documentation and improve development processes with strategic recommendations Lead and collaborate on software projects to drive innovation Basic Qualifications Twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university Alternatively, four (4) years of additional Software Engineering experience on similar projects can substitute for a bachelor’s degree Experience with Java development Clearance Required:
Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph Preferred Qualifications C++, JBoss, AWS Certification, Git, Linux, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse Experience with stream-based processing frameworks, Oracle, SQL, NoSQL databases Agile Scrum experience Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React or similar libraries (Vue, Angular) Experience with automated testing technologies, JMS, REST APIs, and WebSockets Original Posting: April 29, 2025 For U.S. Positions: The job is expected to remain open for at least 3 days from the posting date.
