Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring an SCCM Support Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; work is performed at a customer location. You will be responsible for performing all aspects of SCCM planning, setup, deployment, and maintenance, providing technical architecture guidance, and developing integrated solutions to facilitate cost-effective service delivery. Your tasks include testing and integrating computer systems for over 3000 Tactical IT clients, ensuring configurations are current using SCCM, and assisting with hardware and software architecture implementations. Key Responsibilities: Capture complete baseline of deployed hardware and software architectures, including Data Flow components and policies, ensuring high integrity configuration management per customer guidelines. Coordinate with Government and Microsoft Contractor Premier Field Engineers. Implement, administer, configure, monitor, and maintain SCCM Enterprise health in a virtualized environment. Create and manage Windows desktop deployment automation, WSUS, and design/migrate deployment infrastructure for physical and virtual systems. Create, test, and deploy OS images, packages, and scripts. Develop enterprise-wide test plans for new Tactical IT configurations. Perform system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment. Contribute to industry best practices for deploying enterprise desktop technologies. Deploy and administer Microsoft Office products. Evaluate emerging technologies for compatibility with business needs. Provide technical guidance and strategic recommendations to IT groups. Create and troubleshoot software deployments and packages. Develop documentation for updates and deployments. Perform routine server administration, including security patches and responding to IAVAs. Qualifications
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required: Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Masters or PhD can substitute for two years of experience. Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with 24 years of experience is acceptable. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Knowledge of Windows registry, driver interactions, and unattended Windows OS installs. At least 3 years' experience with Microsoft SCCM (current version for at least 1 year). At least 3 years' experience with Windows Server and managing Active Directory and Group Policies. At least 3 years' experience with VMware ESXi. At least 2 years' scripting experience with PowerShell and VBScript. Extensive knowledge of hardware/software maintenance and deployment. Willingness to travel if required.
