In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: This individual will primarily perform analysis and design activities on traffic projects but may assist other departments as needed. Projects will mainly be located in the mid-Atlantic region but may also include occasional assignments outside the region. The successful candidate will work closely with supervisors, project managers, engineers, and designers. What you will bring to our firm: Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or related field required, with a focus in Traffic preferred. 0 to three (3) years’ experience in transportation and/or traffic analysis, engineering, and design, including maintenance of traffic, signing, markings, and signals; previous internship or co-op experience preferred. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification strongly desired. What we prefer you bring: Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation. Experience with HCS, VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, and Sidra software. Knowledge of travel demand modeling software such as Cube is a plus. Experience with Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) projects is a plus. Innovative mindset, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow professionally. Ability to manage multiple projects independently and as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. This position is primarily indoors, with some outdoor work, travel, and overtime required.
