Key Duties and Responsibilities Travel - This position is based in Burnsville, MN, and involves up to 40% travel. Estimate costs, control projects, schedule, and track quantities. Support a team including Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and staff. Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and the workforce. Review shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and process RFIs. Monitor quality control, safety, and environmental programs. Assist with project layout and identify critical work items and long-lead procurement. Help with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and change order processing. Manage document control for submittals, schedules, contract documents, and shop drawings. Assist with material and equipment delivery, inventory, and warehousing. Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce. Maintain as-built drawings and manuals. Attend and lead meetings as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience, Education & Skills Minimum of 3 years of estimating or project management experience in heavy industrial construction. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience. Ability to work effectively in a team and be self-motivated. Positive attitude and excellent motivation skills. Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with owner representatives, engineering firms, subcontractors, team members, and management. Proficiency in MS Office, HCSS or similar estimating software, Agtek or similar earthwork programs, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Primavera scheduling software. Strong written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to recognize issues. Effective time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills. Valid Driver's License required. Working Conditions Construction site environment requiring physical activity such as standing, walking, crawling, bending, reaching, and climbing; exposed to high noise levels. Office environment involving extensive sitting at a desk and computer, with some standing, bending, and reaching; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
