We are interviewing for full-time Air Quality Project Managers for our Houston, TX location. Candidates should have at least 7 years of air quality consulting experience, with at least 2 years as a Project Manager. Position Overview: Spirits air quality team is growing, and we are looking to add a project manager to our collaborative and forward-thinking office culture. Experience with air quality permitting and/or compliance for clients in the chemicals and refining sectors is preferred. Responsibilities: The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of air quality projects, including but not limited to: New source review (NSR), non-attainment NSR and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) permitting; Title V permitting; Regulatory air dispersion modeling using US EPA recommended models (e.g., AERMOD); Emission calculations and emissions inventory development; Best available control technology (BACT) assessments; and Regulatory applicability analyses, including state, local, and federal regulations. Additional responsibilities include: Managing a team of consultants both administratively and for project work; Ensuring quality control of personal work and projects managed; Communicating effectively with external and internal stakeholders; Developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients; and Representing Spirit externally to clients. Skills: We seek team members demonstrating technical excellence, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities. Essential skills include: Advanced understanding of relevant regulations; Technical competencies for problem-solving and project scoping; Ability to work across multiple industries and clients; Mentoring and training skills; Analytical problem-solving skills; Time management; Effective written and verbal communication; Professionalism for long-term client and team relationships; Fundamental math and science skills; Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and time/expense software; Experience with software tools like AERMOD, ArcGIS, TRI-ME; Understanding of engineering concepts such as chemical processes and emissions control technologies.

Requirements: B.S. or higher in engineering or related scientific discipline; Understanding of chemical processes and emissions control technologies; High professional ethics; Ability to perform field work, including climbing stairs, walking uneven surfaces, and lifting light loads; Less than 25% travel.
