Travel may be required.*** Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide medical services at the scope and level of a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. Assess urgent or emergent health needs of patients, analyze data, and develop a care plan with the medical team, considering capabilities and job requirements. Recognize and treat illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions within licensure and state regulations. Record and maintain patient information according to standard protocols and the Privacy Act. Identify and document signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions. Exercise skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making daily. Make independent judgments and prioritize workload. Pursue professional development and continuing education to stay current with healthcare practices, especially in emergency medical treatment. Monitor financial transaction reconciliation and ensure consistent application of contract charges. Protect patient privacy through confidentiality, infection control, proper medication administration, and equipment maintenance. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program with NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC certification. Maintain an active and unrestricted NP/PA license, free from pending adverse actions, and be credentialed favorably by Acuity policy. Minimum of 2 years recent experience as Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. ATLS certification required before deployment. Recent clinical experience in direct patient care within the past year for at least 6 months. Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent communication skills. Proficiency with computers, office equipment, and MS Office. Adaptability to sudden changes and flexible work requirements, including potential shift changes. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond promptly. Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency. Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
