Description

The Department of Public Services requires assistance with implementation of new and existing .Net applications including but not limited to Utility Assessment Project, 753 Project, Pipeline Audit Safety (PAS),Water Master (WMast), Document and Matter Management (DMM), Power To Choose (PTC), Regulatory Calculator and other systems. The Department has identified a list of new initiatives and enhancements to improve the systems efficiency related to their business process which require a contractor’s assistance. Working as part of a Business Solutions environment, the position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of data models, ETL/ELT pipelines and/or data migration processes, PL/SQL, T-SQL and SQL scripts. In addition, the resource will review business requirements documents, analyze and profile source data, maintain scripts in source control repository, performance tune scripts, review and troubleshoot data quality alerts, prepare source to target mapping documents and execute data manipulation language (DML) scripts. The duties will be performed against both cloud-based and on-premises databases.

Duties

The consultants will serve Data Modeler and developer in the .Net Developer Team implementing Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models. Evaluating existing data systems. Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows. Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system. Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility. Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models. Updating and optimizing local and metadata models. Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency. Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems. Generate and publish data definition language (DDL) from physical data model to Oracle and SQL Server databases. Design and develop ELT/ETL processes for the migration of data. Develop and execute complex queries and procedures using T-SQL and SQL. Manage and maintain scripts and code in source control repository. Document data models, data migration and data quality requirements and solutions. Provide knowledge transfer to other data management team members. Assistance in development of software/hardware requirements for Development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production environment."

Mandatory Requirements

Experience (12+ Years) Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.

Requirements

This is an 100% Onsite 84 months’ experience developing logical and physical relational data models for OLTP databases. 60 months experience using Erwin OR toad Data Modeler to create and maintain logical and physical data models. 84 months experience in complex PL\SQL, T-SQL and SQL development against SQL Server. 60 months’ experience identifying and troubleshooting data quality issues. 12 months’ experience developing and managing ELT/ETL processes. 36 months of experience in development using Agile/Scrum 36 months experience using source control and release technologies such as Git and Azure DevOps.
