We’re one global team – 47,000 strong – driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a Traffic Engineer to be based in Orange, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Ontario, CA; and Sacramento, CA. **Job Summary/Responsibilities:** - Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. - Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. - Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and simple tests. - Proposes approaches to solve new problems using modifications of standard procedures. - Identifies discrepancies in results. - Provides guidance to entry-level engineers. - Performs work within budget and schedule with minimal supervision. - Independently completes primary design elements for engineering works. - Requires developmental experience in a professional setting. **Qualifications** - Minimum: BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent; EIT Certification. - Preferred: BS in Civil Engineering; EIT Certification; 6+ years of Traffic Design experience; 2+ years of Caltrans experience; Design experience with Traffic Signals, Ramp Metering, ITS, Highway Lighting, Signing and Striping; Experience with Stage Construction, Traffic Handling plans, TMP reports; Design experience with BRT, LRT, Rail Crossings; Traffic Analysis; Skilled in Microsoft Office and relevant software; Highly motivated with strong multitasking and time management skills; CA PE or TE preferred. **Additional Information** - Salary range: $80,000 - $149,000, based on experience and location. - Offers hybrid work options and a flexible, inclusive work environment. - Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. - Provides professional development and growth opportunities. - Connects you with a global network of experts working towards a sustainable, equitable future.
