Experience: 6+ Years in IT Application Project delivery, 2+ years in release management leadership Position Overview:
The Release Manager will oversee planning, coordination, preparation, communication, and execution of software deployments across multiple technology platforms including Salesforce, AWS cloud applications, containerized applications, MuleSoft, WebMethods, mobile, web, and API-based applications. This role requires robust cross-functional coordination, clear communication, effective negotiation, disciplined planning, strategic problem-solving, and the ability to drive accountability across teams. Key Responsibilities: Plan and coordinate the end-to-end software release process, managing deployments across Salesforce, AWS applications, containerized environments, MuleSoft, WebMethods, mobile platforms, and web/API-based applications. Establish and communicate clear deployment schedules, processes, and checkpoints, ensuring alignment across development, QA, operations, and business teams. Facilitate regular release planning meetings and deployment readiness checkpoints, engaging cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ensure meticulous preparation of deployment activities, including developing detailed release plans, rollback plans, resource allocations, and risk assessments. Proactively identify potential risks and obstacles related to software deployments, resolving issues through effective negotiation, problem-solving, and escalation when necessary. Maintain transparent and consistent communication with business stakeholders, IT leadership, developers, QA, and operational teams to ensure alignment and readiness for releases. Establish and enforce release governance standards, including quality gates, deployment criteria, documentation standards, and post-release monitoring. Ensure compliance with change management practices, including tracking and approval of release documentation, ensuring audit trails, and managing change advisory board (CAB) processes. Drive continuous improvement by analyzing deployment metrics, identifying process gaps, and implementing enhancements to increase reliability, speed, and overall efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline. Minimum of 5-7 years experience in software release management, preferably in complex, multi-platform environments. Proven expertise in managing software deployments across Salesforce, AWS, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), MuleSoft, WebMethods, mobile, web, and API-based applications. Experience managing releases using agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Strong understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Octopus, TeamCity, etc. ITIL Certification or familiarity with ITSM best practices is preferred. Skills Required: Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, conflict resolution, and driving accountability across diverse teams. Proficiency in utilizing tools like Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar project and release management tools. Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Seniority level
