The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential infrastructure capabilities, meeting client needs, and implementing data standards and governance. The Development team is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. This includes research, new development, prototyping, modification, re-engineering, maintenance, and other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The role requires expertise in current and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and external clients to define requirements and implement solutions. Software Engineers focus on planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing software systems and applications, collaborating with architects, product managers, project teams, and end-users to enhance existing systems and propose solutions for complex business problems. Your Primary Responsibilities:
Act as a technical expert on one or more applications used by DTCC Collaborate with Business System Analysts to ensure designs meet functional requirements Partner with Infrastructure teams to identify and deploy optimal hosting environments Optimize application performance to reduce issues Research and evaluate technical solutions aligned with DTCC standards Integrate risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risks; escalate issues as needed Apply appropriate software development methodologies based on project needs Contribute to the design, construction, and testing of software components or programs Support development, testing, troubleshooting, and production environments Create applications and unit tests to ensure compliance with requirements Work with peers to improve development practices, including continuous integration and delivery Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of related experience Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience Talents Needed for Success:
