Job Summary: The Senior Network Engineer is a key member of the Enterprise Network team, supporting our efforts to deliver excellent service to internal customers and Business Units. This role demands a hands-on network expert with diverse experience in researching, implementing, and maintaining network solutions aligned with best practices and current regulatory standards. Responsibilities include ensuring network configuration, installation, availability, scalability, contributing to network strategy, and supporting IT and business units on network initiatives and projects. This position requires expert-level skills in Network, SDWAN, and cybersecurity, along with network troubleshooting and customer service excellence. Strong business relationship skills and an understanding of business complexities in a fast-paced environment are essential. The role involves interfacing with teams at all levels within the company, vendors, and new business entities to understand requirements, deliver IT solutions, and collaborate on alternative solutions to ensure effective service delivery. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Deliver world-class network service to leverage the latest technologies aligned with industry best practices, focusing on modern manufacturing industry (Process Control Network) and practical IT/OT service environment implementation. Optimize, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network components including LAN (Cisco, Meraki), VLAN, STP/RSTP, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Layer 1/2 issues, Wireless LAN, routing solutions (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIP), cybersecurity solutions, WAN data connections (SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN). Deploy, implement, and manage cloud VNet networks for Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure using ExpressRoute and Fast-Connect. Manage Fortinet SDWAN solutions, implement CoS for applications, and prioritize traffic based on business needs. Collaborate across departments and vendors, and work with OT Network teams to support IT/OT convergence and security for Huber Plant PCN. Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams, acquired businesses, and service partners. Participate in M&A activities, documenting network requirements and aligning solutions with business needs. Document network design updates, changes, problems, and resolutions using Visio and other tools. Education & Certifications: Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cyber Security, or related field; relevant work experience considered. Preferred:
BS in Computer Science. Experience: 8+ years with Meraki/Cisco/Fortinet technologies, including L3 switching, routing, firewall management, TCP/IP, VLAN, VxLAN, LAN/Wireless LAN, Spanning Tree issues. Support and installation of network equipment: Switches, Routers, Wireless Controllers, Firewalls, DNS, DHCP. Expertise in Fortinet SDWAN, legacy network migration, and support. Proficiency with addressing mechanisms and Layer 1 technologies (fiber, transceivers). Deep product knowledge of Meraki, Cisco, Fortinet, including disaster recovery and IoT. Experience with Process Control Networks, IT/OT, and cybersecurity preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced network administration, analysis, and diagnostic skills. Experience with enterprise network hardware/software maintenance. Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot, and resolve faults. Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Total Rewards: Salary range: $105,000 - $130,000, based on skills and experience, with potential bonuses and profit sharing.
