CNC Machine Programmer III (A Shift) Position Description:
Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract CNC Machine Programmer III opportunity with our client in Kent, WA. Job Responsibilities:
Create NC programs for CNC Mills/Lathes/Multi-axis mills and Multi-axis lathes/VTLs to ensure engineering requirements are met. Develop machining strategies to convert design data into machined hardware. Develop and manage set-up sheets. Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinists. Design custom tools and fixtures as needed. Provide DFMA feedback. Implement process improvements in machining and administrative processes. Conduct product acceptance testing following company policies. Maintain configuration control on files and job records. Work safely within an industrial environment. Job Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in NC programming. Excellent blueprint reading skills, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994. Tools fixture design experience. Experience in creating and managing set-up sheets. Cutter selection and design skills if needed. Feed and speed calculation expertise. Experience working with Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Knowledge of DFMA principles. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency with precision hand tools and personal computers. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work to meet project deadlines. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture. Preferred Job Qualifications:
MasterCam X7 or higher experience. Unigraphics NX experience. Vericut or similar program verification software experience. Machinist experience. Ability to set up and operate CNC machines. Job Details:
Job Type: Contract Location: Kent, WA Pay Rate: $42.43/hr ITAR compliance required; U.S. citizenship, legal permanent residency, or protected status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(1), (3). Benefits Package:
