The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations, aiming to maximize sales and profitability through effective merchandising, expense and inventory management, staff training, human resources, and customer service excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the quality and performance of the retail staff. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Lead and motivate the team to meet store goals and standards. Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training staff. Support performance evaluations and provide feedback. Help manage expenses and develop strategies to meet budget goals. Monitor store operations to prevent shrinkage and resolve issues. Ensure safety and business standards are maintained. Train employees in selling and merchandising techniques. Uphold customer service standards to ensure a friendly shopping environment. Assist with inventory counts and other duties as assigned. Work hours are flexible, not exceeding 40 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications
Minimum one year of retail management experience required. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, strategic thinking, professionalism, analytical abilities, organizational skills, discretion, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Willingness to travel and work in multiple stores within the district is essential. Physical Requirements
Stand for extended periods, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel are required. Equal Opportunity Statement
