Managers In Training will learn how to successfully manage the day-to-day responsibilities of running an EG America convenience store location from our finest leaders. You will spend time with a Training Manager and Supervising Manager during your training, working various shifts to learn about our company, our retail team, our vendors, and our guests. This role supports the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience.
Training Process
During official training weeks, Managers In Training work alongside Training Managers, gaining insight and best practices for managing a convenience store location. Between training weeks, they work various shifts with team members to practice leadership skills. After training, Managers In Training join our bench leadership team, filling in during absences until assigned their own store.

What You’ll Do
Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service
Assist Store Manager in building and developing a strong team: training, scheduling, coaching
Monitor product levels, rotate stock, ensure shelves are full
Oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety programs in locations with hot food
Maintain store cleanliness and appearance, delegate tasks as needed
Operate cash register efficiently
Assist with overseeing food quality, safety, and merchandising in hot food locations
Perform other duties as assigned by the Store or District Manager

Minimum Education:
High School or GED
Preferred Education:
Minimum Experience:
1 year retail or food experience
Preferred Experience:
1 year in retail, guest service, or restaurant leadership
Preferred Licenses/Certifications and Skills:
ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory
Soft Skills
Comfortable interacting with guests and team members
High energy and adaptability
Team-oriented; willing to help others
Computer skills helpful
Scheduling:
Full-time, requiring day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays
Hours & Conditions:
40 hours/week with 5 hours overtime
Travel:
5%, with ability to deliver deposits and own transportation
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand/walk 8 hours, and work in cold environments
Other:
Uniforms provided, including hats or visors, gloves, etc.
