As the
Project Coordinator
at Schuff Steel, you will assist in managing the flow of technical information between the Project Management team, customers, subcontractors, and vendors. You will develop critical relationships through verbal and written communication, collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth project execution. Schuff PC’s have contributed to some of North America's most impressive building structures. Job Overview Review design drawings for accuracy and completeness; coordinate resolution of discrepancies or missing information with customers, design team, trades, detailing, shop, and field as needed. Coordinate project sequencing and basic detailing setup, including advanced bills and shop and erection drawings. Provide technical instructions and guidance to steel detailers for preparing shop drawings per project standards. Monitor project schedules regarding submittals, approvals, and shop fabrication releases; identify and communicate potential delays or issues to the project management team. Organize the detailing RFI process through formal RFIs to customers and informal RFIs with engineers, architects, and general contractors. Facilitate and complete other documentation tasks as required. Distribute and route drawings; collaborate with Document Control to prevent delays and maintain logs. Act as a liaison between shop, field, and detailers to resolve fabrication and erection challenges. Maintain daily communication with the Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, or Vice President regarding progress. Assist the Project Management Team in achieving successful project outcomes. Coordinate detailing efforts among various subcontractors. Serve as a direct link between Detailers, Project Managers, other departments, customers, contractors, and the Design Team as needed.
