About The Job The Senior Supplier Sourcing Engineer (internally known at Anduril as a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer) drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril’s product hardware across their lifecycles, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.

What You'll Do

Conduct supplier selection for specific products, leveraging our approved supplier list.

Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through activities such as:

Concept scoping to quickly solidify requirements.

Feature trade-off / trade tables.

Should cost / Clean sheet models.

Joint design development via clear statements of work.

Simulation of mechanical & electronics designs.

Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers with high flexibility.

Manage CAPEX throughout NPI.

Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.

Complete BOM risk assessments, including sourcing alternatives.

Ensure completion of all component qualifications ahead of production.

Reduce complexity through commonality optimization & component/supplier rationalization.

Lead all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing TCO across the product lifecycle.

Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.

5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics/mechanical devices.

Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level.

Ability to travel 10-40% based on program needs.

Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or advanced technical degree.

Experience in:

Design & development of electronics/mechanical devices.

Advanced sourcing activities, including commodity/sourcing management.

Supplier development in technology, process, or supply chain.

Early supplier engagement before product/engineering requirements are finalized.

Familiarity with high-tech product development in high-mix, low-volume environments.

Experience working in fast-paced, startup environments.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.

Compensation & Benefits The US salary range is $128,000–$192,000 USD. Anduril offers comprehensive benefits including healthcare, life insurance, PTO, wellness leave, family support, mental health resources, development stipends, meals, commuter benefits, relocation assistance, and 401(k). The actual offer depends on experience, education, and business considerations.
