As a strong leader and role model exemplifying the companys core values, the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) will champion The Websters initiatives, vision, and attract, retain, and develop top talent. The ASM is a critical leadership partner a co-pilot to the Store Manager. You will partner with the SM to create a highly productive environment in which the customer service experience is a priority, employees are able to perform extremely well and excel; and the business thrives. The ASM balances front of house & back of house duties, speaks to the business, connects with employees, and successfully engages with customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Motivate and inspire the team by delivering a compelling vision and purpose that encompasses The Webster core values. Establish and communicate clear expectations and hold the store team and self-accountable for achieving all brand, performance, and behavior standards. Lead productive weekly leadership meetings that align with and drive the business strategy. Create and execute the store business plan to drive sales and KPI results, maximizing business opportunities including CRM. Analyze sales reports and data to determine business needs and set strategies. Set individual sales goals for management and associates, ensuring they align with store plans. Train and develop the team on business acumen to improve performance. Evaluate store sales and payroll goals daily; adjust schedules accordingly. Demonstrate sales leadership by actively participating on the selling floor. Develop events/incentives to grow the customer base, especially in the local market. Manage the controllable components of the P&L to meet financial and expense targets.

Customer Service

Ensure all staff provide the highest level of customer service. Maintain constant client communication via the client database. Resolve client issues and complaints promptly. Ensure staff are knowledgeable about products. Train ASM/Key holders on handling customer service issues.

Operations

Follow cash control and register procedures. Control expenses and maintain budgets. Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage within payroll budgets. Handle merchandise efficiently, including shipment receipt, markdowns, and replenishment. Adhere to shipping/receiving policies. Meet inventory accuracy and shrink standards. Support loss prevention efforts.

Visual Execution

Maintain store standards of cleanliness and organization. Ensure proper facility maintenance. Partner on store assortment and visual displays. Communicate product concerns and inventory needs.

Talent Development

Recruit, hire, and retain high-performing teams. Coach and develop management to prepare future leaders. Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching. Develop succession plans and encourage internal growth. Address HR issues promptly, in partnership with the Director of Stores. Maintain professional appearance standards. Ensure adherence to employment policies.
