Responsibilities
Provide hands‑on technical design and engineering for network‑related tools and systems.
Collaborate with software engineers to develop and maintain our network automation and monitoring platform.
Contribute to open‑source projects related to network and platform engineering.
Guide code reviews to uphold code quality.
Develop and maintain network automation solutions.
Qualifications
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Proficiency in Go or Python.
Expertise with Linux.
Hands‑on experience with Juniper hardware and Junos OS.
Experience with CI/CD, containers, virtualization, web servers, and databases.
Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
Knowledge of automation frameworks—Salt preferred.
Proficiency with Git and multi‑branch development workflows.
Experience building and troubleshooting large‑scale datacenter networks.
Experience building and troubleshooting global backbone networks.
Experience with Nokia, Arista, and Ciena equipment.
Strong understanding of layer‑2 and layer‑3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRRP, IS‑IS, LACP, MC‑LAG).
Experience with MPLS and BGP‑LU (RSVP‑TE a plus).
Compensation
$114,200 - $156,970
Remote role.
