Overview Northrop Grumman is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to lead the development and integration of Computer Based Control Systems (CBCS) for the Habitat and Logistics Outpost (HALO) program. The role requires deep technical expertise in aerospace systems, spacecraft software design, and avionics integration, coupled with strong program leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Evaluate design documentation and verify compliance with customer and internal requirements.
Support integrated software build creation and suite management.
Manage software configuration, control, and architecture development.
Provide support to selected program Systems Engineering Team members.
Contribute to technical tasks supporting the program and provide systems engineering support for technical reviews.
Write status reports and technical performance reviews, analyses, and reports.
Basic Qualifications
Principal Systems Engineer – Bachelor of Science in a technical field with 5+ years of experience; or Master of Science with 3+ years; or PhD.
Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – Bachelor of Science with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s Degree with 7+ years; or PhD with 4+ years.
Experience designing and implementing CBCS, avionics, and software and hardware integration for aerospace and/or military vehicles.
Experience with architecture development and familiarity with electrical & computer systems.
Experience with spacecraft software design and implementation and understanding of spacecraft integration & test, launch, and mission operations.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) leadership experience.
Experience defining requirements & interfaces.
Experience developing verification documentation.
Familiarity with command and telemetry database.
Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
Salary Range Primary Level: $110,300.00 – $165,500.00 | Secondary Level: $133,000.00 – $199,600.00
