Senior Underwriter- Environmental Casualty Join the dynamic AXA XL Middle Market Business as a Senior Underwriter. We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead the launch of our new Environmental Combined Form product, expanding AXA XL’s Middle Market offerings to U.S. Commercial P&C clients.

Responsibilities

Support the development and marketing of the environmental combined product.

Underwrite environmental combined form and excess policies, achieving profitable premium and rate goals in partnership with actuarial, claims, and financial teams.

Manage multi‑line product delivery in coordination with Middle Market teams.

Develop, maintain, and service broker relationships within the Middle Market distribution model, coordinating marketing and education efforts.

Interact directly with insureds, brokers, and producers to service accounts.

Collaborate within the team, assisting underwriters, underwriting assistants, and the management team.

Ensure high‑quality service standards and compliance with all internal audit guidelines.

Represent the company at internal and external functions, agent‑sponsored and industry events.

Meet with brokers to set annual targets, issue monthly status reports, and monitor P&L against plan.

Take initiative in broker and market interactions, building relationships, delivering education, and supporting business targets.

Qualifications

In‑depth technical knowledge of Environmental Casualty and Excess liability product offerings.

Ability to structure combined form policy offerings in support of a middle‑market multi‑line coverage approach.

Established broker relationships within Environmental and/or Middle Market areas.

Extensive environmental casualty insurance experience (e.g., underwriting, claims, or insurance‑related business development).

Experience selling environmental combined form products with supporting lines including Auto and WC.

Proven ability to build and maintain robust insured and broker contacts.

Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong customer‑service focus.

Collaborative team player who provides creative solutions and ideas for resolution.

Salary U.S. base salary range: USD 124,500 – 186,500. Actual pay will be determined based on individual skills, experience, and location, aligned with market and internal equity.
