Tarvos Talent is partnering with a stable E&P company to identify a Financial Reporting Manager. The company is located in the Houston area Energy Corridor and offers a Hybrid work schedule. This role will play a key part in supporting monthly close activities and internal reporting, while mentoring others and positioning for future leadership growth.

Core Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and consolidating entries in accordance with US GAAP, including the preparation of footnotes.
Assists in the coordination and supervision of the monthly close process to include AP, JIB, Revenue, GL and Financial.
Assists with operational accounting and processes as needed.
Assists in the preparation of period-end accrual journal entries.
Prepares depletion (units-of-production), depreciation, and amortization.
Prepares impairment analysis yearly and as needed.
Calculates, records, and maintains Asset Retirement Obligations.
Prepares/reviews reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts. Performs analysis to ensure accuracy.
Assists in the successful and timely completion of the Company’s external annual audit.
Assists in the information requests and review of 3rd party prepared annual tax returns.
Assists in the information requests and coordination of the Company’s 3rd party ad valorem tax consultants.
Provides accounting oversight and support to multiple team members.
Maintains fixed assets including alignment of the Company’s capital expenditures policies.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience within the upstream oil & gas industry.
Proficiency in reporting under US GAAP.
Experience with audits and tax return preparation or review.
