The Department of Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology.
As a department leader, the Division Chief will work closely with the Department Chairperson to provide an energetic and inventive vision for maintaining and growing clinical, educational and research programs, developing strategic interdisciplinary teams for furthering research, and continuing faculty development.
Position Details
The successful candidate will:
Provide strategic, innovative, and operational leadership for the Pulmonology Division within the Department of Pediatrics
Be responsible and accountable for clinical and academic performance of the division
Demonstrate a strong record of collaborative leadership and commitment to excellence in clinical care, research, innovation, and academic service
Commit to mentoring faculty, trainees, and medical students
Have leadership skills necessary for guiding faculty development and advancement across research, clinical, and academic missions
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required
Eligible to be licensed to practice Medicine in the state of Illinois required
Completion of an accredited Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship program
Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology
Hold credentials meriting an Associate Professor or Professor faculty appointment
Demonstrate ongoing research achievement, community engagement, and educational excellence
Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign‑on, retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
Pay Range: $297,000 - $393,000
