Job Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team in the electric vehicle manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of industrial equipment, performing mechanical adjustments, preventive and corrective maintenance, and complying with industrial safety standards.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
Conduct mechanical adjustments to improve equipment performance and longevity.
Ensure strict adherence to industrial safety standards, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
Operate forklifts as needed for maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (MaintainX or other systems).
Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
Monitor equipment performance metrics and recommend continuous improvements.
Perform routine inspections to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.
Develop and update preventive maintenance (PM) documentation and operational procedures.
Manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability and minimize disruptions.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers (ME) and Design Engineers to support production needs.
Uphold 5S principles to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Be available for weekend and off‑shift work as needed.
Requirements
1‑5+ years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair automated machinery and production equipment.
Understanding of industrial safety protocols and experience with LOTO procedures.
Familiarity with CMMS software (MaintainX or similar systems) for maintenance tracking.
Forklift operation experience is a plus.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
California Pay Range $27—$34 USD
