The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center
is seeking a full-time
Plastic Surgeon
at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are expanding our clinical, educational, and research programs and welcome candidates who are eager to contribute to this growth.
About the Opportunity We are seeking surgeons with a strong interest in reconstructive surgery, including but not limited to:
Microvascular breast reconstruction
Craniofacial surgery
Hand surgery
General reconstruction and microsurgery
Candidates must be able to take independent hand and face trauma call.
There are
several opportunities
to shape your practice, including:
Providing breast reconstruction services at a nearby affiliate hospital
Expanding our transgender care and aesthetic practice
Delivering clinical care at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center
Qualifications
MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency
Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS
Eligible for New York State medical licensure
Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching
Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required
Academic Environment The Division of Plastic Surgery has an
integrated residency program
with two residents per year and is actively involved in
medical student education and research . The successful candidate will join a
collaborative and collegial
faculty dedicated to advancing the tripartite mission of
clinical care, teaching, and research .
