$110,500.00 - $165,700.00 Annual Salary Job Description Summary:
Lead the development, progression, and tracking of pre-construction and all construction schedules, including self-perform work. Perform delay and productivity analyses, changes, and claims to ensure timely and profitable project completion. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform all essential Assistant Project Controls responsibilities. Understand our financial system and manage costs effectively. Monitor project costs, track actual expenditures against budgets, and identify cost overruns. Train self-perform project teams in developing baseline manpower, labor production, and cost tracking. Collaborate with project managers and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare, present, and negotiate change orders and claims as needed. Understand, communicate, and track contract project controls and scheduling requirements. Communicate KPIs and dashboards with self-perform teams and operations. Assist in identifying and assessing project risks, evaluating their impact, and proposing mitigation strategies. Support teams in improving dashboards, KPIs, trends, etc. Develop contingency plans with project managers and monitor their implementation. Continuously evaluate project performance indicators, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions. Support development of delay and labor productivity claims. Set up labor productivity tracking and cross-check production rates to communicate goals. Prepare, update, and validate preconstruction and baseline schedules and narratives. Review project schedules using industry-standard software, identify critical path activities, and maintain up-to-date schedules. Conduct regular reviews to identify delays, conflicts, or scope changes and propose mitigation strategies. Collaborate with finance and accounting to align project controls with financial reporting. Review project schedules for completeness and standards compliance. Develop and implement project controls plans and procedures. Conduct regular audits of project documentation for compliance. Follow P6 database management best practices. Complete other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Skills and Experience:
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent. At least 7 years of construction experience, including 5 years in Project Controls, or equivalent. Experience in scheduling and productivity claims is a plus. Knowledge of construction scheduling, including Critical Path Method. Understanding of construction methods, processes, and cost accounting. Proficiency with P6 Professional, Microsoft Suite, and Bluebeam. Ability to read and understand contracts, plans, and specifications. Working knowledge of virtual construction technology systems. Summary of Benefits:
