Cornell Scott - Hill Health Center The Assistant Program Director is responsible for assisting the Program Director in maintaining responsibility and leadership for BHD programs(s) assigned. The Assistant Program Director is responsible for administrative and clinical oversight in addition to facility oversight in free-standing programs, as assigned by the Program Director. Under the direction of the Program Director, works collaboratively with other CS-HHC administrative departments to maintain staffing, grant funding and/or fee-for service revenue streams, environment of care, general program operations. The Assistant Program Director will provide and encourage leadership to the program staff and serve as a professional role model. Responsible for performing the duties of the Program Director in his/her absence.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Collaborates with the Program Director to review/direct ongoing program design, implementation and evaluation of programming. Establishes programming based upon respectful client care, cultural competence, quality assurance, standard of practice, treatment outcome measures. Reviews and revises clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accountability to internal/external authorities in coordination with Program Director. Assists the Program Director in maintaining quality of care and client satisfaction. Supervises clinical, administrative and case management staff as directed by the Program Director. Assists the Program Director in compiling State Funding and/or program reports/ statistical summaries in a timely manner. Provides professional clinical services to individual clients, groups of clients, and/or families in the CS-HHC setting or general community. Maintains client confidentiality and follow agency, state, and HIPAA laws at all times. Formulates bio-psychosocial assessments and diagnosis, treatment plans/reviews and goals according to a site-specific timeline. Evaluates data relating to the bio-psychosocial consequences of physical and emotional illness, disability and/or substance abuse. Performs on-call coverage when mandated by the Program Director Responsible for performing the duties of the Program Director in his/her absence. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Requirements
M.A./Ph.D./Psy. D in Behavioral Health required. License eligible required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist). Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the treatment of patients with psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders and associated conditions (internships/fellowships will be considered). Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the supervision of clinical staff. Supervisory and managerial skills are essential. Knowledge and competency regarding diagnosis, assessment and treatment of behavioral health services. Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work with interdisciplinary team. Ability to generate high levels of client satisfaction. Must demonstrate age specific/population specific competencies in area(s) of practice. Knowledge and skills related to individual, group and family system dynamics. Must demonstrate cultural competence.
