This position is responsible for supporting Brinker team members and operations in strategic sourcing activities for various food spend categories; with the goal of achieving cost management to include cost reductions, while maintaining/improving product quality and supplier service levels. Your Key Job Functions

Partner with business partners, internal and external, to understand sourcing needs to establish and drive cost saving targets. Ensure that Brinker’s Code of Business Conduct is followed in dealing with all suppliers and distributors. Manage RFP/RFQ process by developing bid package, negotiate pricing and/or services, present recommendation(s) for award of business, implement contracts and monitor prices of assigned contract items. Negotiate agreements with buy-in from stakeholders and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics. Address day to day operational issues including project management, rollouts, Multi Market Tests, sourcing new items, and solving issues surrounding designated categories/services. Collaborate with Brinker International Marketing, Culinary, Culinary Operations, Strategic Innovation and other support departments. Manage multiple projects within established timelines to stakeholder’s requirements. Review/analyze information to make sound project recommendations and system/process improvements. Provide ongoing communication to business stakeholders, project team, and suppliers. Act as a point of escalation for Brinker team members in times of contract disputes or service issues. Develop and maintain contact with key suppliers and participate in quarterly business reviews. Identify new suppliers as necessary and determine the optimal set of providers for goods and services. Monitor all economic indicators for commodities within area of responsibility. Keep informed of key industry and market information including category specific trends, market conditions, and best in class suppliers. Responsible for monthly price lists for product price and contract verification. Provide input to QA to develop all product specifications. Take classes (i.e. time management, CPM certification, etc.) for professional development. What You Bring to the Team

Bachelor degree; equivalent business school training; or the equivalent in skill and training. 3-5 years food purchasing experience; (Category) specific experience is a plus. Technical Knowledge of commodity and product procurement. Strategic Management abilities to achieve competitive advantage. Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills. General understanding of procurement budgeting and cost control functions. Ability to make appropriate business judgments and decisions independently. Problem-solving skills to work through complex problems. Ability to conduct negotiations and perform complex vendor/pricing analysis. Interpersonal Skills to build effective organizational relationships. Presentation Skills for business presentations. Leadership abilities for special task assignments.
