Responsibilities The Ultrasound Tech performs all ultrasound exams/procedures as ordered by our referring physicians. The Diagnostic peri-natal performs procedures including fetal echos, dopplers, and OB scans. The Ultrasound Tech is responsible for all peripheral activities associated with each test/procedure, such as identifying patients, educating patients and families, validating orders and referring physicians, completing paperwork and Meditech entries, transferring images, and ensuring that physicians receive final results.
Requirements Education and Work Experience: High school diploma or GED required Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program with ARDMS certification required Two years of experience with High Risk OB preferred Certification Requirements: ARDMS - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Healthcare Provider Level CPR
