$150,000-$185,000 Plus up to $2,000 monthly mortgage assistance for up to 3 years. Plus $50k recruitment bonus paid out over 5 years sponsored by Partnership HealthPlan of CA, our local managed medical plan provider. Additional $20k bonus may be eligible for specialty certification in substance use disorder treatment. Position Summary:
The Medical Director for the SUD/MAT Program is a clinical leader responsible for the oversight and development of all medical aspects of the Substance Use Disorder and Medication-Assisted Treatment program. This role ensures high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with substance use disorders, in accordance with regulatory standards and clinical best practices. The Medical Director collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to drive integrated care, improve patient outcomes, and support whole-person treatment. Qualifications: Licensed MD, DO, Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of California. Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, or related field preferred. Current DEA license with authority to prescribe MAT (buprenorphine/naltrexone), and completion of MATE Act training requirements. Demonstrated experience in MAT and SUD services. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in addiction medicine, primary care, or psychiatry preferred. Minimum 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or program development experience preferred. Experience in an FQHC or working with underserved populations is highly desirable.
