MARKETING MANAGER, FOODSERVICE & NATIONAL ACCOUNTS
Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Trident is a privately held, 100 percent USA-owned company with primary seafood processing operations and fleet support in twelve Alaska communities. Trident’s global operations produce finished wild Alaska seafood products in 6 countries and its sales teams serve customers in over 50 countries. Trident employs approximately 9,000 people worldwide each year and partners with over 5,400 independent fishermen and crewmembers. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide. Summary: As a Marketing Manager within our marketing team, you will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver day-to-day marketing execution. This position contributes to our marketing success by being accountable for executing key activities that drive both channel and brand performance in line with our company and marketing goals. The Marketing Manager’s role is to drive performance, equity, and share across various channels by identifying and activating both customer and consumer insights, as well as identifying opportunities to drive awareness and support business growth. This role supports product innovation activities and addresses customer needs by collaborating with product development, sales, project management, category management, operations, and finance to drive efficiency and generate demand. This role also serves as an internal customer and consumer, providing insights and strategy that improve the product and partner experience with both our customers and consumers. The role reports to the Marketing Director – Food Service & National Accounts and will work closely with the Trident USA Food Service, National Accounts, and Ingredients channel leaders and teams. Support the planning and execution of our annual marketing calendar and initiatives. Execute marketing plans in partnership with key stakeholders to achieve sales and marketing goals, examine performance, and optimize in real time. Manages stakeholder relationships by partnering on awareness drivers during key moments and the creation of marketing materials to support channel efforts. Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing materials for different regions and customers, ensuring stakeholder relevance and resonance. Conduct research to identify new opportunities and understand relevant market trends and consumer behavior. Conduct consumer testing and analysis to support sell-in strategy and product launch initiatives. Manage product and customer innovation projects from inception to launch. Understand the Food Service environment and how to best win at key customers and channels: Champion product innovation and socialization with customers to maximize results, with a focus on driving competitive advantage and effectiveness. Lead initiatives of the tactical communication plan (i.e., print, ads, programmatic, etc.) around specific touchpoints or consumer targets, including agency and cross-functional team management, strategy, planning, execution, and results measurement. Analyze and report on the performance of Food Service marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Stay up to datewith industry and consumer trends, competitor activities, and channel opportunities. This is a an exempt position with an annualized salaryrange of $100,000 to $140,000. Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs) A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing. A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of three years of experience with PowerPoint and executive presentations. Preferred education and experience Capable of implementing strategy and insights into marketing storytelling Food Service and/or seafood industry experience Ability to communicate effectively both in-person and with virtual stakeholders. Work Travel Ability to travel in the U.S. as required, up to 10%. This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
