Position Overview
BayCare Medical Group is seeking a qualified candidate with academic and leadership experience to serve as the Program Director of the Surgery Residency Program at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate must be clinically active, either ambulatory or hospital-based, with ongoing academic involvement, a passion for resident education, and a desire to collaborate with colleagues. Opportunity Requirements:
Lead, organize, operate, and administer the Surgery Residency Program, welcoming its first class in 2024. Establish the program's strategic direction while maintaining high standards, quality, and reputation. Integrate the program with physician practices and hospital services to enhance value, quality, and foster an optimal environment for professional practice and education. Ensure compliance with ACGME/Surgery RC requirements and other regulatory entities. Plan and oversee activities related to the residency program. Qualifications
Board Certification in a surgical specialty. Valid M.D. or D.O. degree. Licensure to practice medicine in Florida or eligibility for licensure. At least 3 years of teaching experience. At least 3 years of leadership experience. Company Overview
